How MINERS works
What MINERS is
MINERS is a mine you can watch. Every bot in it is a real GPU that someone connected from their browser. While the GPU works on a job, its bot digs. When the work is checked and verified, the rock cracks and the bot carries its ore to the Core.
Keep this tab open to stay in the program. Once a day, half of what came into the treasury is split between the wallets whose GPUs did verified work, by how much each did, and sent to them.
Getting started
- Open the Earn page or the mine in Chrome or Edge on a computer. It needs WebGPU.
- On Earn, step 1 detects your GPU and step 2 runs a test job on your own computer, without sending anything.
- Press Connect wallet and approve in Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, or another Solana wallet (via Privy). That address is who gets paid.
- Once the wallet is connected, the same button becomes Connect GPU. Press it to send your bot down.
- Keep this tab open to stay in the program. Closing it or pressing Stop takes your bot offline. Payouts settle daily.
From inside the mine use Send your bot down — same flow: Connect wallet, then Connect GPU. One wallet can have up to 3 GPUs connected at once.
The work
Each job is two grids of whole numbers, n×n, multiplied together on your GPU. The grids are grown from random seeds the mine sends, so every job is new and no answer can be saved up or copied. All the maths wraps around at 232, exactly the same on the GPU and on the server.
Job sizes run from 256×256 up to 640×640. Faster GPUs get bigger jobs, sized so an answer comes back in about a second. Each size is drawn as its own ore, from Pebble Ore up to Gold Vein.
Work is counted in units: one unit is 220 (about a million) multiply-adds. A 512×512 job is 128 units.
How work is checked
Your GPU sends back a fingerprint of every row of its answer. Only after that does the mine pick 3 rows at random, work them out itself and compare them. Skipping work means guessing rows it cannot know in advance, so cheating doesn't pay.
- A wrong answer counts as a missed swing and earns nothing.
- 3 wrong answers in a row and the bot sits out for a minute.
- Only verified units count toward pay.
Rounds and pay
Rounds last one day. Keep your tab open to stay in the program while you mine.
- During the day, the mine adds up the verified units of every wallet, and everything that comes into the treasury.
- When the daily round ends, the miners' share of what came in, currently 50%, is split between wallets in proportion to their units. If you did a quarter of the day's verified work, you get a quarter of the share.
- What you earned is sent to your wallet automatically, in a transaction anyone can look up. Anything under 0.001 SOL waits until it adds up.
Use Check a wallet on the home or earn page to see what any wallet has earned, is owed and has been paid. Nothing here promises a return.
The treasury
The treasury is a public Solana wallet. The treasury section on the home page reads it live from the chain. It shows the balance, what came in today, the miners' share, the time left in the round, what has been paid to miners so far, and every movement in or out, each linked to its transaction.
Payouts come from a separate payout wallet, so the treasury itself is never exposed.
Your bot
Every connected GPU gets its own bot. Its name and look (one of 12 colours, 7 kinds of eyes and 8 things to wear) come from its id, so it looks the same every time you come back. Click any bot in the mine to see its jobs, units and trust score. Your bot's card shows your wallet and your GPU's name.
How deep a bot works (Surface, Deep or Core) follows how fast its GPU turns jobs around. Depth doesn't change pay; only verified units do.
API
The browser is the easy way in, but any program that can do the maths can mine. All requests are JSON. After joining, send Authorization: Bearer <key>.
POST /api/gpu/join { wallet, gpu?, key? } → { node_id, name, key }
POST /api/gpu/job {} → { job_id, n, a_seed, b_seed }
POST /api/gpu/result { job_id, rows[n] } → { ok, units, jobs }
POST /api/gpu/leave {} → { ok }
GET /api/earnings ?address= → earned, owed, paid
GET /api/state bots, events, stats, rules
The exact formulas for growing the grids and fingerprinting rows are in the technical guide.
FAQ
- Is it safe for my computer?
- It's a WebGPU program in a browser tab that multiplies numbers. Nothing is installed, and nothing on your computer is read. Laptops may get warm; press Stop any time.
- Which browsers work?
- Chrome and Edge on a computer, and other browsers with WebGPU switched on. Phones aren't supported.
- Why did my bot leave the mine?
- The tab was closed, Stop was pressed, or the GPU stopped asking for work for 20 seconds. Connect the same wallet again and press Connect GPU — the same bot comes back.
- Does a faster GPU earn more?
- Up to a point. Faster GPUs get bigger jobs, but each GPU has a limit on how fast it can take jobs, so one huge card can't take over a round.
- What does the mine know about me?
- The Solana wallet you connect and your GPU's name as your browser reports it. Both show on your bot's card.
- Do I type my wallet address?
- No. Press Connect wallet and pick your wallet in the Privy prompt. After you're logged in, that button becomes Connect GPU.
- When do I get paid?
- Once a day, when the round ends, as long as you're owed at least 0.001 SOL. Keep this tab open to stay in the program. Smaller amounts carry over to the next day.
